About Jeff & Lynda Brewer
Jeffrey Brewer is a dedicated educator, community leader, and minister running for the School Board in District 4. With a career spanning 20 years in the Marion County school system, Mr. Brewer brings extensive experience to his candidacy, with a particular focus on special education. Throughout his teaching tenure, he served students at various local institutions, including Lake Weir High School, Greenway Elementary, Howard Middle School, Oakcrest Elementary, Meadowbrook Academy, and the Juvenile Detention Center.
Beyond his work in the classroom, Mr. Brewer has been a long-time resident of Marion County for over 25 years. He is a business owner of Jeff’s Best LLC and has been an ordained minister for more than 20 years through the Association of Faith Churches and Ministers and Forerunner Ministries. His commitment to the community is further evidenced by his service on three Marion County non-profit boards, where he held the position of president twice.
Mr. Brewer’s educational background includes a degree from Colgate University, studies at AFCMITC (Bible School), and attendance at the Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He has also been deeply involved in supporting local schools as a site leader for the Marion Education Association (MEA), a volunteer tutor at The Rock Program, and a current participant in the Dads on Duty program at Lake Weir High School.
Personally, Mr. Brewer has been married to his wife, Lynda, for 22 years. Together, they have four children and seven grandchildren, and they previously co-founded the New Life Christian Center in New Hartford, Connecticut. Committed to students, families, and the community, Mr. Brewer seeks to apply his diverse background to serve the needs of District 4 schools.
